Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Legal Client Services and Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing client engagements, coordinating legal research activities, and ensuring seamless project delivery in government advisory, legal advisory, training, facilitation, and moderation services.
NB: Please note that a law degree is a prerequisite for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement and Communication:
- Act as the primary liaison for all client communications, ensuring clarity and responsiveness.
- Understand and articulate client requirements effectively to the internal team.
- Participate in high-level meetings with clients to discuss project progress and outcomes.
- Project Coordination and Management:
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate legal research tasks and projects, ensuring comprehensive and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking project progress, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Team Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate a research team of 3 members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, discuss challenges, and strategize solutions.
- Support professional development initiatives for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Event and Partnership Support:
- Assist in organizing and managing legal workshops, trainings, and seminars.
- Support partnerships with legal organizations, governmental bodies, and international stakeholders.
- Ensure logistical and administrative requirements for legal events are meticulously handled.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare accurate and timely invoices for client services rendered.
- Maintain organized records of client engagements, project activities, and financial transactions.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Mandatory requirement)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal field, preferably in legal research, advisory roles, or related areas.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience in event management and partnership support is advantageous.
- Ability to engage confidently in high-level legal meetings and discussions.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of legal processes, governance structures, and electoral systems.
- Previous experience working with international organizations or NGOs is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
